Bluetooth is an open wireless protocol for exchanging data over short distances from fixed and mobile devices, creating personal area networks (PANs). It was originally conceived as a wireless alternative to RS232 data cables. It can connect several devices, overcoming problems of synchronization. Name and logoThe word Bluetooth is an anglicized version of Old Norse Blátönn or Danish Blåtand, the name of the tenth-century king Harald I of Denmark, who united dissonant Danish tribes into a single kingdom. The implication is that Bluetooth does the same with communications protocols, uniting them into one universal standard. The Bluetooth logo is a bind rune merging the Germanic runes (Hagall) and (Berkanan). From Wikipedia under the

I have a wireless dell mouse and keyboard, both of which connect wirelessly to a bluetooth USB receiver which connects into my PC's USB port. The recevier is broken, and I need to replace it. But I am not sure exactly what I need. The bluetooth receivers I keep seeing seem to be for cell phones and PDAs. I need something that will run my mouse and keyboard. Any ideas as to what I need to buy? Thanks. Asked by petersruby20 - Thu Mar 19 17:02:45 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Try someplace like Tiger Direct and look for bluetooth adapters. Q. I am looking for a Bluetooth but want good quality where I can hear the person clearly and vice versa. I also don't want the earpiece to hurt my ear, nor do I want to have to stay within a foot of my phone. Any suggestions. I am new to this but am interested in purchasing one. Asked by tine105 - Wed Oct 3 18:24:27 2007 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Ultimately you should get a Motorola Bluetooth. The 850 is very good. It has good sound quality and will work well with your phone. Sometimes you have to try by trial and error. Make sure of the return policy where you buy the device. Most stores wil let you return the product within a certain amount of time. But stick with a Moto product for a Moto phone Answered by kayburgh - Wed Oct 3 18:33:07 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "bluetooth" |
