What's the difference between Bluetooth and Stereo Bluetooth?
Q. I'm planning on buying a new cell phone, and one of the features is stereo Bluetooth. The phone can also play MP3s, so does this mean I can listen to music through my Bluetooth earpiece?
Asked by IAmWonderWoman - Sat Mar 31 12:15:11 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments
A. In general that is what it would mean, but of course you need a stereo bluetooth headset, not just one of the generic-looking over the ear pieces. I have a phone capable of bluetooth, mp3, and stereo bluetooth, but since my bluetooth is a cheap one, I cannot hear music from it. Just make sure you check all the details before you purchase, caveat emptor

How do I connect my bluetooth phone and bluetooth palm?
Q. I have a Samsung Sprint phone that has bluetooth on it, and I have a palm Lifedrive that has bluetooth technology as well. I'm new to bluetooth and I don't exactly understand how it works. After I enable it on my phone and palm how do I get them to connect with one another? Once connected what does it allow me to do? Does bluetooth from my phone allow me to access internet on my palm when im not on my wifi at home? If they are connected thru bluetooth can I get text messages on my palm and responding to them from that? Thanks in advance for all your help and explanations.
Asked by midgetman2212 - Mon Jul 16 04:08:57 2007 - - 1 Answers - 1 Comments
A. You need to pair the devices. You do this on your sprint phone by going to menu-settings-bluetooth. Enable bluetooth and make our phone discoverable. Then search for your phone using your palm device. When your palm finds the phone you attempt to pair with it. A prompt comes up asking for the PIN number. Enter a 4 digit pin number (any number). Then on your phone it will prompt you to enter a pin number. Enter the same number as you entered into the palm. What you can do with bluetooth depends entirely on what bluetooth profiles are installed in each device. By the way, don't bother calling Sprint for support. They only support pairing with a bluetooth headset.

How important is Bluetooth capability for a new laptop? Anyone using it extensively with a cell phone?
Q. I'm going to buy a new laptop, but can't decide between two models. One with Bluetooth, the other without. I'm wondering how important is Bluetooth. I'll get a cell phone with Bluetooth capability. Are people using Bluetooth and cell phone to connect their laptops on the Internet? I know this is expensive right now, but will this bluetooth link become essential over time? If it's just something nice to have, I'm leaning towards skipping it. Could someone knowledgeable please speak from your experience? Thanks.

A. I have a Bluetooth laptop and Bluetooth cell phone. It's all about connectivety without cables. I transfer my cell phone 2megapixels camera pics straight to my laptop all the time. Bluetooth benefit is of course wireless connectivety between all other Bluetooth devices regardless of manufacturers. All data in your cell phone can be transfered to your pc There are wireless keyboard and mouse using Bluetooth technology. Bluetooth earphone for cell phones that connect wirelessly. You may have notice people walking around with that funny pointy gadget hanging from their ears. Here's a informative guide to Bluetooth uses.

How do I use the bluetooth feature of my cellphone with my computer and what do I need to do it?
Q. I have a Motorola E815 phone that has a bluetooth feature on it. I am completely new to the concept of bluetooth and its still pretty vague to me. I'm supposed to be able to connect with my computer to transfer data and files, right?(Mainly phone book, but maybe some pictures as well.) Is there some sort of receiver or transmitter that is supposed to hook up to the computer? Or just a setting possibly that I need to adjust on the computer? And does it matter if that phone is not activated at the moment?

How do I connect my bluetooth to a new phone?
Q. Previously I had my bluetooth connected to my blackberry, but I had to send the blackberry in to get it replaced. Now when I search for devices on my new blackberry it does not recognize the bluetooth. And it wont let me connect. Do I need to reset it or something?
Asked by noxthecat - Sat Feb 28 12:25:23 2009 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. You'll need to pair your headset and phone again. Put your headset into discoverable mode. To do this on most headsets, hold down the button until the headset starts to flash. On your BlackBerry, go into the Bluetooth menu, and locate the option to discover new devices. You should see the headset listed there; choose it, and enter the pass code (most headsets use 000); you should get a message on the phone that the headset is successfully paired with the BlackBerry. That's all there is to it. Good luck.

How do you connect a bluetooth to the phone?
Q. I have a Verizon wireless Pink Ravr V3C and I have a bluetooth headset, not sure of the brand for the bluetooth. I previously used the bluetooth with another phone so I know it works but I cannot get the Ravr to even find the bluetooth headset. Is there a way to do this on the phone? What I have been doing is going to connections on my phone, then bluetooth, then handsfree then search for devices, all the while I am doing this, I have my headset turned on and right next to my phone. Is there another way of doing this so that the phone finds it? Thanks

A. I had that problem when hubby decided he didn't want his Bluetooth...what was wrong was that it was still programmed to HIS phone. So if you used your Bluetooth with your old phone, make sure to disconnect it and deprogram it from your old phone. Once he did that, it connected to mine with no problems. Hope that helps!

The key difference is that Bluetooth uses a radio link to connect devices instead of a cable. From that end, Bluetooth is an enabling technology and not an application. A. It shouldn't, they run on two completely different frequencies: Bluetooth is about 2.4 GHz and Wireless USB is 3.1 GHz 10.6 GHz, But if you are having problems with your Bluetooth, it might be because the frequency is very similar to that of a Wi-Fi signal, at.. 2.4 GHz.

2.4 GHz.
